MasterCam 2017 Crashing for specific user

I'm currently experiencing an issue with mastercam 2017 where I'm not able to open it but if I press shift and right click and use another user mastercam opens.

This issue is only happening with one specific user I tried cleaning the user local temp folder but no success. When I run the application with any other user it works. Please see attached file.

Try deleting that users config file

 

C:\Users\user name\Documents\my mcam2018\CONFIG

Jparis I deleted both config files and still not working. Please see the attached logs

Well, right off the bat, I notice the Filternci.dll call.....that chook has not been available in either 2017 or 2018

So something, a toolbar perhaps, the workspace file....is referencing something that no longer exists....

The curious part, if I understood, other users on the same computer start and run fine.....if that's the case, I would copy a workspace file from another account into the users account and try that....

If this is happening on different workstations, there may be an issue with the .net framework, it may need to be pulled and reinstalled....

It might be best, to call your reseller, most of the time they can use goto meeting to come right in and see what's going on exactly..
