Backplot ghosted operations 2018

I am unable to backplot any ghosted operations in Mastercam 2018.  Is there an option somewhere to allow backplotting of ghosted operations?

I was able to  backplot ghosted operations in previous versions of Mastercam.

Nope that is a new feature added to the software. You must un-ghost to backplot and then re ghost to get it back like you had it.

This will now work a treat using any transform operations.

Actually I always found it a pain to go through and deselect all the ops I didn't want to see in backplot and verify, that's why they were ghosted .

There are just so many ways to do things in MC when it comes to things like this the developers are between a rock and a machinists skull.......tough to please everyone in situations like this.

If the OP is ghosted, it's not going to run....why the need to backplot it?

Before Stock model, I used to do things like that for stock removal that wasn't "really" going to be be needed but to present stock as it would be in that operation...

It would be nice if it asked rather than just refuse to backplot. All of these new "features" are a pain in the butt some times.

It would be better if it was an option in the options.

There's an option in the configuration to control this.

Settings > Config  > Backplot, then look for "Simulate Disabled Posting." 

 

Edit:  Note that in the next version, this will be under Settings > Config > Simulation > Backplot as we're trying to consolidate the location of all the config settings for the various simulation methods..

I didn't read it either so there you go. Nice the option is there to make it act like it use to. Thanks for pointing that out Aaron.

Yes there is a new tick box in the config file, but the problem is that it does not stick.

Open a file, click the tick box, save your config, re-open that file or any file and it reverts back??
