what is batch processing? I have seen the icon but never new what it was for. I read the mastercam help menu but I still do not understand it.

Back in the day....when you have toolpaths that could take a bunch of time to process....you could choose to have them process, let's say at night, so that you could continue during the day making toolpath and not have to wait for the system to crunch before making a new path...I imagine it was the mold makers who utilized that early on...

With multi-processor processing and crunch times not what they used to be.....it is most likely little used any more.

I had some files that would take 3 to 4 days to process a finishing toolpath back in V9 days and like some ofth old school 5 Axis toolpaths that can take a whgile to process and you can't do a thing that was pretty much the same for all surfacing toolpaths in Mastercam. You would get it figured out with large step overs and get a rough idea of what you wanted then you made everything tighter and smaller and then put it to batch. At one place I had 3 systems and sometimes would have all 3 crunching for hours and I would go out and run or clean machines, sweep the floor or come to the forum and help who I could.

I was trying not to throw up at that hideous background color and font.  :D

I was under the impression that this sub forum was all about helping members but apparently some can't do that without any criticisms.  To each his own.

Thanks to the guys that helped.
