MACHINE to MESH - Screw

Hi there - Does anyone have a solution or advise on a Plug-in that allows - Machine to MESH. We have scanned this LARGE 1.5m long Wood Pulp Compression Screw and now need to use this data - to machine a over size BLANK Casting to the dimensions. This is a one off so - Taking the time to NURB Surface this is not desired. Any Help will be much appreciated. Thanks Nick Bush - NOVAMECH

All the advanced 5Axis tollpaths will allow you to drive to the stl from a external file. Then drive the toolpath from a standard cylinder or keep locked to an Axis. I would suggest a stock model to start the process then go from there. The collision avoidance will do some things with STL stuff.

The Verisurf reverse add on to Mastercam can make into a surface model from that very nice STL you have.
