I tried changing them to this with no luck. If I change secondary axis it just rotates the c axis in one direction.

both your screenshots are shown with the checkbox checked. Need to have this check box uncheck in order for the changes in GUI to take effect< otherwise post values will be used. Sorry for the obvious advice, just double checking what i'm seeing.

The Generic Fanuc 5X Mill Post (on which your Post is based), will not just rotate the C-Axis Platter. So if your Platter is facing "up" towards the Spindle, there is no logic to simply rotate the C-Axis.

If you are having issues with the C-Axis not being correct, while the B-Axis is already at 90 degrees, then you likely need to rotate the "Primary Axis" (C-Axis) vectors.

Try changing this:

rotaxis1$ : vecx

rotdir1$  : vecy

To this:

rotaxis1$ : vecy

rotdir1$  : -vecx

Funny I just had to do this for a customer last week. Crazy how long some things stay the same.

doesn't it seem like, within a decade, a functionality could be had to unwind without actually throwing toolchanges into the program??????

Crazy talk:rolleyes:

Sorry to bump this old thread but im having almost the same issue and cant figure the post out correctly.

I'm using: haas vf-tr series 5x mill pst

My B axis is posting out b-90 a90 when it needs to be b90 a90 i tried messing with the integers and it works only on the B axis then it will post my A axis at A-90 and all my Y axis movements are y+ needs to be y-.

Using TRT-160 A,B platter.
