SINUMERIK 840C

Good morning All,

I have in my shop old retrofit G&L boring mill  with sinumerik 840c control .I start machining big part .Many deep packets .I am set up high feed cuter for  this job  ,many codes ,many lines. I looking for save time everywhere ,retract ,fed plane  lead in/out .My problem is when the  machine  read the line of codes  machine stop every line .There is same setting on the control for set up the motion  better ???My  friend told me ,there is same code on heidehain  control for shut off  all  brakes on retrofit  .I did not see any thing on simens .

Hi Grievous .thanks for reply 

This machine is from Canada ,very very old .I can not use CYCLE 832 (it seems to me )My control is  840 c  80-90 :))))

The cycle is just a combination of multiple commands/codes. If you read the explanations you will find that you can program functions separately, like FFWON SOFT G642.  Give them a try.
