Well, more info on what you are trying to accomplish or how you are using the path would be helpful.  If you can't post your file, see if you can create something similar in shape and recreate the problem on something you can post.  As you know many of us will gladly help you out.  As for the finishing / roughing side of it, not sure but many of those are dependent.  Maybe it has to do with tool type selected?

I played with this a bit over lunch, and I couldn't get it it work either in 2018.  In 2019, it generates in about 30 seconds, so there must be something in there that it didn't like.  I'm not sure which fix specifically fixed this for your case.

I did have to do some work to clean up the file before it would work at all, though, as according to your stock, there's nothing to machine:

Assuming you have cylindrical stock setup,

I'd just select everything and let 'er go:

I've attached the file in 2019 format to play with if you've installed that.

Material is P20 Hardened to 55Rc I need to cut the thread into the core (Green surfaces). I need to cut the green surfaces and I can not touch the red surfaces.

I want to rough it with a 1.5mm Ballnose then I need to go down to a 0.6mm Ballnoe

Any guidance on how to tool path this job would be greatly appreciated. It will be cut on a HAAS UMC 750 SS

Cheers
