as well as a test bar. The prices of these things are far less than a new spindle if the taper is hitting/wearing on the spindle wall unevenly.

Your "Z" position is off for tool changing. You need to find the parameter and change it.

Talk to the place where you bought the machine. That need to be fixed before you start running jobs.

We had to replace our tool change arm on the HAAS. No big surprise. It was bent after 8 years of running from pulling tight tools out of the spindle. It was re-aligned  to the spindle and the Z position. nice and quiet now.

But it is a HAAS !!
