Transform Roll woes.

I have never been able to figure out how to make this work.  I need to roll text around an arc segment.  I read that there was a tutorial but couldnt find it.

The help menus are not much help....

Can someone please advise on the proper way to apply Roll?

This function is to wrap and unwrap entities around a cylinder. If you want to have text on an arc you can do that within the create letters function. Got a picture or screen shot of what you are trying to accomplish as it seems you may be asking for the wrong thing.

Its a company logo.  I need to wrap it around the arc segment that is on top of the block.

The geometry needs to be "flat" at Z zero. The Y axis centerline is 'rotary zero'. The X position of the geometry, relative to this centerline, determines the rotary angle. (In the toolpath, you select Axis Substitution, and enter the rotary diameter.)

I would just project to that surface and call it a day.

Shoot, we have a Morris South AE in our plant.  They could give me the file and I would do it for them no problem.

I need to learn how Transform Roll works.  Colin had the answer.  The flat text has to be at the center of rotation before doing the roll.  It makes sense now.

I'm new at Morris.  Most guys have been here minimum 5 years.  The jump from NC programmer/tooling design to AE is a big one. And that OSP-P300MA is an amazing control.
