Tolerance offset

Hi

I am switching from Edgecam to Mastercam, and I have a few small problems.

If I am working on a solid, made on 0, and want to add a h7 tolerance to a cylinder piece. How is that possible in Mastercam Lathe 2019?

Do I need to add another line at the correct diameter, or is it possible to give an offset value to a line segment?

Thanks

I usually have to model all of my own solids and model on the mean to make geo creation easier.  However, if you're supplied a model you can just do it in the tool path.  There is an input box for stock to leave, I always do the math and put it there.  Keep in mind it is on the radius.

Which path are you using?  This is the finish path:

Typically when I have done shaft work with different dia's and tolerances, I usually break them into their own ops....

This allows me to control the differening allowances....

I was thinking the same thing and I can assign my offset for each diameter by breaking them up.

T010101 1st Dia

T019191 2nd Dia

T019292 3rd Dia

Rinse and repeat.

Same here, I generally break them all up as well.  I do have a couple of lathes that will hit when dialed in.  For those I generally create my geo, program it and send it.

Each job, each feature takes what it takes.  Whether that's creating individual paths or the geometry you need to hit the tolerances.
