multiaxis roughing help

new to 5 axis and mastercam.  I am trying to accomplish a multi axis roughing program to cut water channels on the outside of a tapered cylinder but it takes FOREVER to regenerate.  Sorry for the vague question but is there certain parameters that are causing the computer to crunch crazy numbers.  Again I apologize for the lack of info.  My processor is capable of full 5.  I have successfully used swarf for a tapered insert pocket.

Thanks
