It happens every time.  I open a file, I set planes and/or set the part up the way I want it on the screen, I save the file, and when I go choose a machine type it crashes.  Any ideas?

What happens when you chose the machine first then set up your plane and part......?

Do you have SolidWorks installed? Did you just open a SolidWorks file before trying to choose the machine?

There's a Support Knowledgebase article here: https://kb.mastercam.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50654.aspx that details how to get around a known issue.

And we've found that you don't even have to open a SW file, just have SW installed.

All of the above.  I work from SW files, and I have SW installed on the PC.

So go ahead and follow the steps in the article - and post here to let us know if it works for you.

We've been working with SW to chase down the source of this one ... it has to do with those little 'thumbnail' images of SW files that you see in our File/Open & File/Save dialogs

I just created my account for Mastercam .com and WOW!! Lots of info!  Thanks!
