NOT READING G234

JUST RECENTLY PUT A 5 AXIS TRUNNION ON MY MACHINE. ITS A T5C2. IT A FIXTURE THAT HAS 2 5C COLLETS TO HOLD THE PART. WHEN I TRY AND RUN MY PROGRAM I GET TO ~G234~ LINE THEN IT GIVES ME AN ALARM. THE MACHINE TELLS ME THE SUB PROGRAM IS NOT IN MEMORY. IM NOT CALLING ANY SUB OR ATLEAST IM NOT SEEING IT. MAYBE THERE IS A PARAMETER I HAVE TO CHANGE OR A 9000 SUB PROGRAM THAT GOT DELETED ANY IDEAS??

G234???

Try G243.

Normal (non-5X) Tool Length Compensation is G43. 5-Axis Tool Length Compensation is known as "tool center point control" (TCP / TCPC). On the Haas control, I am pretty sure the code is G243 for TCP length comp.

It is not. G234 is correct for a Haas. 

 

Logically yes 243 would have made better sense though. However it was already used before TCPC came out.

Yep, looks like this isn't installed on this particular control.

If it is a Next Generation Haas control with at least a 4th axis it has TCPC/DWO. If it is not paid for, the option still can be used for the 100 hour trial.
