Strange pencil icon beside cursor

this just happened today at work, my cursor has some strange pencil icon next to it with white cross underneath. it totally wont let me draw most things like before and using analyze distance doesnt work right. tried changing the autocursor setting resetting the toolbar, rebooting the computer but same thing. ive given up trying to use it today. 

 

also how do you change the stl file when you open it, looking at all the config colors but cant find the right one.

I have had that before but it was a long time ago. I think it was a mouse driver issue and Windows not playing together well. You might try updating your mouse driver to see if that helps.

In the view tab under grid  you have activated the snap to grid. 

To set a default color for the stl file set the  "mesh" color to what you want the file to open with.

first problem ya that worked great, guess i accidentally turned it on. second problem doesnt work we still have 2018, but it goes from mask only on, to mill - imported tool cutting.
