My configuration is all messed up now!

So our IT guy was just here, and moved everything to the server for back-up purposes.........Mastercam now opens with the default settings.  How do I return it to where it was before?  Everything resided on my PC before today.  Please...............HELP ME..............

Most Mastercam setting are located in this folder:

C:\Users\%USER%\Documents\my mcam2019\CONFIG

Keep a copy of this folder...or at least the two files mastercam.workspace and mcamX(m).config.

However some settings are stored in the registry or in different locations.

As Gunther says you have to find the original config file. I normally make a personal config file, so NICK'SX9.config so it's easier to find and I can keep a back up copy.

I hope your network is fast and reliable. I can say from experience there will be trouble if not, worst case being file corruption.

Make sure registry key \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CNC Software, Inc.\Mastercam 2019\UserDir points to the user folder Gunther mentioned (my mcam without the config part) and \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CNC Software, Inc.\Mastercam 2019\SharedDir to the shared folder.
