Feedrate over-ride for opti roughing! Please!

I have mentioned the following idea to Mastercam techs on a few occasions now, but it still has not appeared in 2020. The opti roughing toolpaths, which allow for large cuts to rough, and then the "step-ups" to create the "stair steps" if you will, do not have a feature to over-ride the feed and speed for the smaller cuts. Why do I have to cut a .020 x .020 step at the same feed and speed as my 1.00" x .050 steps for example? I see no good reason why this feature should not be incorporated into the newest software. I welcome all input and feedback on this one, and I hope someone with some clout at MCAM can finally make this happen. I have been asking for 2 years.

WE keep asking them for the same option on Z finnish passes in 2d facing and contour...

They don't seem to care what we want!

This idea is so logical, it seems impossible for them NOT to incorporate it. Edgecam was doing it 10 years ago.

Chip load is chip load. Fine idea for plastic or aluminum. Borderline for steel. Unacceptable for super alloys, IMHO.

have you tried the High Feed option in the operations manager?

I agree about the super alloys, but as you said, good for plastic and aluminum. I work with a lot of aluminum, and fortunately no super alloys...lol.
