need to buy a new laptop, which one is best for mastercam

I downloaded the home learning edition.

I wanted the full version but did not realize the cost involved. I will continue to learn this program but won't be able to output G-Code.

Curious....did you think Industrial CAD/CAM software would be cheap?

i was thinking $1k to $2k. 

come to find out the cost begins at $10k.  this is out of my price range at this time. 

this is the first time i ever looked up software like this. it was an eye opener.  

the home learning edition will help me finish the book i purchased and prepare me for the class when i take it winter term.

there are many brands and models of laptop on the market.
I think you should first learn some knowledge about the laptop Hardware such as CPU, RAM, GPU,SSD & HDD, Screen.

You could look at an entry level product that might be more in your price range, there also are some new opportunities for subscription based licensing that can give you the chance to try the full version for a limited time.

Keep in mind that this is a perpetual license, so if you do buy it, you own it forever.
