Hello all

I service cnc machines, all 3axis.

I need to help a customer with a used 5 axis machine

How do you find the pivot distance on a 5 axis mill

It depends on what kind of 5X machine it is

there are many different  common table/table configurations

as well as head/head and head/table machines

the procedure for finding the pivot distance will be different for every machine
