Contour conventional instead of climb milling help

Recommended Posts

HI there,

So i have a problem setting the right side on contours when selecting wireframes by colour. We have large quantities of PVC parts so give the wireframe different colours for quick programming. unfortunately is goes always for conventional milling but i want to use climb milling. is there a way to make sure this is the go to strategy in stead of conventional?

There should be a setting for closed chain directions on the chaining page, what method are you using to select the chain is it a macro (vbscript,c-hook,net-hook) or manual programming?

It's manual programming and thanks a lot, that solved the problem.

Now you're talking about macro programming, i,ve been looking for a possibility to use that but haven't found it so far. do you got any advice on that subject?

A good place to begin is using the vbscript add-on as it teaches you a lot about the database and doesnt require a compiler you can add a vbscript launcher to your menu via the quick access toolbar under customize. If you have older versions of mastercam installed some examples are included in a folder called vb Under shared mastercam. If you want to use newer methods and are able to install visual studios templates are available online for visual studios 2017 for net-hooks using vbscript or c-sharp. There are some posts about it Under the development section of this forum.
