Engraving tootpaths.

I'm a new user for Mastercam 2019. I tried to engrave some letters and numbers but a message showed up on my screen saying it was invalid " Open chains are ignored. return to continue." as well as " No valid chains found. Please select closed chain(s) for contour." Please send instructions to help me solve this issue. Thank you.

For this application use Contour and turn the compensation off.

For the engraving operation you need to use closed shaped lettering not stick letters. If you want to engrave stick letters then you need to do as Rekd suggested above.
