Stock flip, stock transfer disabled

Hi,

Anyone knows what needs to be added to MD/CD to be able to select stock manipulation toolpaths? They are greyed with a simple 2 axis XZ lathe machine.

Stock flip worked for me straight out of the box.

I'm not really in charge of lathe stuff here but I am working up lathe posts for MC , POCO is still on my to do list.

I answer if it can be useful for someone else. 

It just needs to add to MD a second chuck component group with a linear Z axis, rotry axis and chuck

There is also a Variable which acts as a 'Flag' to the Post that "POCO" is enabled. This is the "O" parameter in the Post Header Line. I think 'O10' is POCO enabled. 'O11' I think is Probing and POCO. There is another 'predefined variable' which also must be set for POCO to function properly.

Start with the Generic Fanuc 4X MT_Lathe Post. This Post already has POCO enabled, and has the logic to address the Axis Combinations for both "Upper Left", and Upper Right. (UL works main spindle, UR works the sub spindle. 

Generic Fanuc 4X MT_Lathe Post also has the updated "lathe misc ops" Post Blocks.

Adding POCO to a 2X Lathe Post is going to be 100 times more work, versus just copying your customization over to the 4X MT_Lathe Post will be.

I guess it will really depend on if you just want to manipulate the Main Chuck for clamp/unclamp and Barpull, or if you actually have a sub spindle. If this is just a 2X Lathe with no real 2nd Chuck, then your solution will work great.

Hi Colin, thank you for the extra info.

This is a 2x lathe without physical 2nd chuck.

Here, I mainly wanted to be able to use stock flip command into Mcam to program 2nd part side. This will be manually done on the machine so there is no need to modify post.
