Importing different file formats

Hello,

We are working with Artec Studio software and doing some mid-professional 3D scanning for our customers. MC currently supports various file formats to import but STL file format is the only one that is fit for our software. The question I have is there any add-on or plug-in for Mastercam that would allow you to convert different file formats to STL? Or is there any another way to do that?

If the file is open in Mastercam do a save as and select .STL as the type of file.

If you are trying to convert an stl file to a surface or solid you will need to use another software.

yea as rekd mentioned above just do a File --> save as, then click on file type in the save as window and choose the Stl file type and when you hit save it will be an STL.

I would seriously look at the Verisurf Reverse Add-on for dealing with STLs in Mastercam. There are many functions it offers that take this type of work to the next level in Mastercam.
