  3. As one surface I don't see it happening and be accurate. Sorry, but either have your company step up and get the license to do it as separate surfaces or cut them as individual operations. They ask why it is taking so long tell them they made it take as long as it takes not getting you the proper tool to get the job done.

  5. You could do something like this, using Macro B: #100=24. (Number of Holes) #101=0. (Abs. Starting position, relative to G54) #102=360./#100 (Get incremental A rotation Value) #103=1. (hole counter) #104=2. (Z DEPTH OF HOLE BOTTOM) #105=2.6 (Z DEPTH OF HOLE START, .100 ABOVE STOCK) #106=.05 (PECK AMOUNT) #107=3.8 (FEED RATE) #108=.1 (SAFE Z ABOVE R PLANE) #109=3. 6. Tim Markoski (may he Rest in Peace) brought this up to me back when I used to work at CNC Software. Yes, this is broken. Try Posting the same path, with the latest version of MPLMaster, and the latest version of the Generic Fanuc 4X MT_Lathe Post. Some Posts will have the old logic, and some use the new logic. I'm not sure if all the Lathe Posts were ever updated or not. I think Tim had a sample NC Code generator that would calculate the taper values correctly. It's been so long now that I have trouble recalling all the details.

  8. I figured so. That's a shame, he was a super helpful member. I couldn't begin to count how many times he helped me, we've lost a high value asset.

  10. Not sure what you are seeing, but I am seeing a .625 minimum radial clearance. So you would need something like a 1/2" shank and a 1.75" diameter cutter.. LMAO I have done some pretty crazy stuff but that simply wouldn't work. Unless they are paying a ridiculous amount of money for this part. I wouldn't even entertain it.. Unless they made that top lip a bolt on piece.....

  14. Do you leave your machine on all the time? Most people do these days, but to an old school guy like me it seems almost criminal, like leaving a high performance car idling at the curb overnight. I shut mine off every night and start every morning with a cold boot. During the day, at the slightest sign of a problem., I save, close MC and reopen. More serious problems get a reboot. I also have my RAM usage set to 80% in System Config. I've also found MC2019 to be the most stable version of Mastercam to date

  17. Steve, under misc values you can set this to 1 for G54 only output.

  18. I just talked about this in a different thread. The old way didn't do this. However since the introduction of Automatic Work Offsets this has become the new norm. Post builders have added switches that will only output G54. I don't like that method I make sure to go into the planes manager and assign my work offsets for each plane in there.
