  2. Not quite.. Starting with 2020, we're trying to offload some processing to the video cards, which is done via OpenCL if you have it. So if your video card supports it, it might make a difference in your processing times if you upgrade your drivers to support it. See the KB article I linked to for a bit more information and help troubleshooting. You may be thinking OpenGL, which is the graphics processing we rely on for 3d graphics, you're correct that we require the same version of OpenGL for both 2019 and 2020. Yeah, it's confusing GL for Graphics CL for Computation.

  3. I would be wanting a new computer... anything that ran Win98 is going to struggle with Win10 alone. Then try to push modern Mastercam with it... Just curious, what does it spec out at?

  4. I have done exactly what Thad is saying with the ops libraries. But i got sick of going through the import process and searching for the correct toolpaths i needed to import even though i had them labeled good like Thad's examples. Once you get all the toolpaths for all the different scenarios it can get into the 500 - 1000 toolpaths if not more. So what i did was design and code a window that sits in the levels manager with buttons and drop-down menus to automatically import what i need. I also made it for different materials so i dont have to mess around with changing tools or speeds and feeds. I pick to material i want, pick the operations i need and BOOM its imported at the red arrow and i just pick geometry.....Done! I just click and in seconds what i need is imported. I also use same window for doing other common everyday tasks as you can see in the pictures. It took many hours of work and coding but i'm so glad i did it.

  5. Greetings all, I have developed a setup sheet that is really more of an Operation check list. Developed for minimal paper waste. It works with all three of the main program types without changing report templates: Mill, Lathe, and Mill/Turn. The operations are color coded: Blue is turning, Yellow is Milling, and red is Manual Entry. If the tools are named in Mastercam the way that I recommend, all of the information will be there for the operator: Insert codes, etc. Included in the zip file that is attached is a sample turning program with milling, the Active report templates, a Word doc with instructions on how to install and where to enter information. For best results, pay close attention to the Word doc on what and where I enter the names and comments of the tools and operations. Disclaimer: Use at your own risk.
