  1. In a case like that, it is quite understandable....take where I work we have as an example 5 - Mill3 - We actually have 6 but a single seat is on a traveling HASP that the manager currently uses 1- Lathe 2 - 5 Axis 1 - Wire 1 - MT I am the only person that uses all of the licenses, though not at one time...though in the near future that is likely to change For us, it makes sense to limit the # of licenses and spread them around as needed Every shop has slightly different needs....it is nice that the flexibility exists

  2. Funny thing is I just talked to the reseller on Friday and we're gonna switch back to a USB dongle. Too many times I have to call the IT gods and let them know the license has been kicked out and MC isn't working. Heaven forbid someone opens MC in another building and leaves for the day My programming computer is a laptop, so with a USB dongle I can program offline. I'm the only user of the software, other than the random engineer that "wants to learn MC" $80 charge to switch back to USB.

  3. Read the forum guidelines, asking for a post here is not permitted. There is a generic MPMaster available from this site for free. You can also look on the main CNC Software Forum in the tech exchange for a post there...

  5. I would suggest you contact Fanuc to order copies of their manuals for a 31i control. Typing out a list of G-Codes is not going to help you understand how to use and apply those codes. Plus, different codes are "grouped together", and must be activated "in nested pairs of on/off Functions". The nesting of those function pairs is dependent on dozens of different Parameter Settings on the machines control. You can order your machine, with a Fanuc Control, and specify different "options" on the machine. What machines do you have in your shop right now? What controls (model, and year) are installed on those machines? Did you know that there are two very different "methods" of setting up DWO and TCPC on a Haas Machine, based on the different types of Kinematic Layout? Before you go off and try to develop a Post Processor to support these codes, you really need to have some experience setting up the machines, and then programming a part using the DWO/TCPC Functions, before you should think about trying to build a Post. What is your end goal here? To try and understand how to run your machines in a better/easier way, or to build some kind of post that would support all different machine types?
