5TH AXIS CHEAT PROJECT ON RADIUS mill internet
Drive the 3D contour from the upper edge not the lower edge and then use a minus depth of the radius of the tool and you just cheated the 3D project process. I model the Radius into the solid. I would make a surface model from the solid on a different to a level and then untrim the end surfaces and put an edge on the top of that surface connecting them. Then drive the 3D toolpath from that edge using the minus the radius of the arc you added to the solid and then done. Just cheated Project to get exactly what you needed.
Here is what I am talking about.
The most important thing I learned through this site is to pay it forward with help, I have been blessed by many that have helped me here.
I can tell you it feels great to be able to help others in need.
I always make sure in these situations to stop and save what im doing each section into a mastercam notes so i can always look back at them, You are definitely right about that though!
Check out the Stock page of a drill or circle mill toolpath
your options are
Use stock defintion for
Feed Position
Depth
Both
These tool paths only respect stock for these Z axis settings
This is one of those "opinion" things. There won't be 100% concensus.
Myself, I've always preferred to have ONE single file when possible no matter how many machines I am running the part on. There are exceptions to that but that is my preference.

I just stumbled upon a useful hotkey that I was unaware of: When using Dynamic Move I accidentally hit my select all hotkey and noticed that when in dynamic move [Ctrl]+A toggles between part and gnomon movement so I no longer need to mouse click the icon located to the lower left of the gnomon to toggle.
things like this I find all the time on Grabcad.com or 3dcontentcentral.com, I think you got to sign up which is free to be able to access downloads but for fun projects like a chess set there are tons of models like that on there in case any of you were not aware about those websites. For 3d print projects i like Thingaverse.com a lot but its like mostly stl files provided where at grabcad and 3dcontentcentral typically they are nice solid models to work with so for a machining chess project grabcad probably has hundreds of chess pieces or entire chess set models available
Oct. 2002, when this topic started, I was a member here for 5 months. I'm pretty sure that Bernie answered my first question on why Mask on Arc wasn't finding all the specified diameters...Screen-Combine Views!!!
Just doing some math in my head, I gotta say that Bernie is around 85 these days.
Even Bernie replied to the original question. Bernie has been around so long, his journeyman's card was carved in a stone tablet.
