  1. well it's x2 mr2 sp1.....this interface still hasn't been updated.

i wish importing operations was the same as it was in v9.

as kathy stated in 2006, this is time consuming and you don't see your file...only the folder...very strange

  2. yes search internet pdf to dxf conversion/translate.

i did this once a few years ago.

try aide cad systems....aide pdf to dwg

    also datakit

also autocad has an add-on i believe

i used trial version...it worked pretty well

  3. yes i have spoken with greg culp....robotmaster seems to be very strong at programming robots.

i'm still very interested in what is being machined (material removal related) out in the real world.

if we can't hold the tolerance we require with robots then purchasing robotmaster won't be needed.

we will be machining graphite. the parts i envision machining with the robot will have tolerances...+/-.002 to +/-.004

    is this achievable?

  4. other than to load/unload parts what application do you use your robots for?

i am most interested in multi axis machining.

    can you tool change?

can you rough or only finish? (not hp to rough?)

    what tolerance can you hold?

    what size parts?

    rotary or trunnion table?

do you use robotmaster or other software?

thanks in advance for any insight you can give me.

  5. x2 mr2 sp1

using surfacing.....i would like clearance at start and end of op to be Z3.00"

any retracts during op to be Z.125"

    clrance = 3.00

use clrance at start end is greyed out

    retract = .125

    feed plane = .100

DOES NOT WORK....retracts during op are still at 3.00 not .125

how can i set to work properly?

  6. my reseller saw my question...he stepped in and solved.

these fmt lines were the problem, so once blocked out....the date coded as i wanted (01-23-08)

    #fmt 14 day$

    #fmt 14 month$

    #fmt 6 year2

    #year2 = year$ + 2000

if i understand correctly.....in X2 anything in the post with $ at the end is taken at face value....so month$ day$ year$ come right

from the computer, we don't need to force these values.

thanks to chris parish at optipro and all others who helped.

  7. jparis thanx for offer.....

    i'm getting close.....

    these are variables in post

    fmt 14 day$

    fmt 14 month$

    fmt 6 year2

    year2 = year$ + 2000

    this is in my post

    "(CREATED ON - ", month$ ,"-",day$ ,"-",year$ ,")", e$

this is what is coded out

    (CREATED ON - 1.-24.-08)

i would like it to look like this

    (CREATED ON - 01-24-08)

any ideas how to get rid of points and

    force month to two digits???

  8. i've tried 8 forum suggestions and i cannot get the month and day to post correctly.

any help will be greatly appreciated...this is what i have.

    original v9 post-

    pheader

    "(CREATED ON - ",*month,45,*day,45,*year,")", e

this is what was coded in program = (CREATED ON - 05-12-07)

    mcx2 mr2 sp1

using updatepost.dll this is what i have-

    pheader

    "(CREATED ON - ",month$ ,"-",day$ ,"-",year$ ,")", e$

this is what was coded in program = (CREATED ON - --07)

  9. is there a new toolpath available?....saw cut?

(not the one in router which uses a circular saw blade)

i'm hoping for a toolpath that travels around a part moving up-n-down in Z to use a cutters full flute length.

if a part is 2" thick but you only have 3" flute length cutters....you can program 1" of Z travel as the cutter moves around the part.
