  1. Would anyone have a source for this tool? Off the shelf would also be a plus.
  2. Would anyone know where the Mastercam Temp folder is hidden? Using Win7 pro 64 bit.
  3. I'm using X6.....I want to customize my Operations Mngr but there is no "black arrow" to select. How/where do I turn this on?
  4. Is there a list of what comes stock/standard in the Art library? (Textures or patterns or other) I don't have Art.....but I would like to know.
  5. We use rigid tapping as well. My post Tap section had no mention of rigid tap....it is very minimal.
  6. I didn't want to use a misc value.....just to keep it simple. Using post debugger as a guide, I hard put the M29 in the tap cycle and added *speed as well. Seems to do what I need. Thanks for suggestions. T3 ( TOOL-3. - 1 1/8 -12 TAP ) ( TAP HOLE ) M6 G0 G90 G54 X5.25 Y5. S240 M3 G43 H3 Z4. M29 S240 G98 G84 Z-2. R.1 F20. G80 M5 G91 G28 Z0.
  7. We use Cimco DNC....30 machines. Link to our vendor ask for Glenn Sharp Cimco
  8. I need to output M29 each time I tap with two machines/controls I have. The spindle speed will change but M29 will be constant. **This is output at present T3 ( TOOL-3. - 1 1/8 -12 TAP ) ( TAP HOLE ) M6 G0 G90 G54 X5.25 Y5. S240 M3 G43 H3 Z4. G98 G84 Z-2. R.1 F20. G80 M5 G91 G28 Z0. ****This is what I need**** T3 ( TOOL-3. - 1 1/8 -12 TAP ) ( TAP HOLE ) M6 G0 G90 G54 X5.25 Y5. S240 M3 G43 H3 Z4. M29 S240 G98 G84 Z-2. R.1 F20. G80 M5 G91 G28 Z0. Any help as to where to make the edit will be much appreciated.
  9. I created a dummy toolpath in MILL then saved with Mill being active. It now starts in Mill.
  10. My "startup" = mill, I save when mill is active .....but still starts in Lathe. I have 2 mill groups....where I am just createing geometry at present, no toolpaths yet in mill.
  11. I have a file that has 2 machine groups. Lathe and Mill. Each time I open the file it defaults/starts in Lathe. How can I force the file to Start in Mill? X5 at present....soon to be X6
  12. The varying Z depths were traced to an operation. The odd part is that the operation did not appear dirty. During backplot if looking closely....you could see the varying Z depths. W/O the op appearing dirty, there is no final answer as to what caused this or how to prevent it from happening in the future. Thanks to QC@Mcam and my local reseller Optipro for the help.
  13. one other thing......while "final" Z values did not change....the op takes 2 passes in Z to machine thru the material, the first Z depths at each location do have varying Z depths as well.
  14. I just sent it to QC....we'll see what they determine.
  15. Colin - transforming 2d contour ops (simple stuff)
  16. 1st....still in X5 Horizontal Mach Ctr. I am transform/rotating 2 operations(machined in planes I created),in these ops the Z clrnc is 392.125 (metric) and cut depth is 335.25. The rotated ops has varying Z clrnc's (392.125, 389.125, 418.85)....why is this??? The Z depths have not changed. Has anyone heard of this before? I have not, I have done countless programs this way and never saw this before.
  17. BUMP...I have a similar need.....any info on plotters that are high accuracy/repeatability. Up to 36" wide
  18. "Another X5 issue is my mouse/cursor will act like it is creating rectangles randomly 3-4 times thru out the day. It does not create rectangles but dragging the cursor over the screen leaves white rectangles on the screen till I hit escape." See attached file/doc. These random rectangles are driving me nuts. I updated mt drivers...but not help. Any suggestions? X5 random rectangle on screen.doc
  19. The below section of code backplots and verifies fine. Operation is standard pocketing with islands using a 3/16 bull mill. G1 X2.5182 Y-.4059 X2.8628 Y-.0609 X2.7946 Y-.0142 X2.5833 Y-.2255 G3 X2.6694 Y-.074 I-1.3003 J.8397 X2.6837 Y-.0122 I-.126 J.0618 X2.6838 Y-.0098 I-.1403 J0. (trouble line for johnsford vmc) G1 X2.7078 Y.0143 X2.816 Y-.0291 On the Agma VMC the code machines as it should. On the Johnsford VMC the line of code "where labeled" machines a ccw 360 deg circle (dig into island) then continues on the correct path. We had this machine for 4-5 years w/o any issues like this in the past. Both machines have the same control....would anyone know what the issue could be? (a parameter?)
  20. I found answer. In "plinout" I changed *feed to feed....see below for example. plinout #Output to NC of linear movement - feed if not(cuttype <> 0 & xinc = 0 & yinc = 0 & zinc = 0 & ainc = 0 & cinc = 0), #avoid output of feed with no motion when changing between G93 and G94/G95 [ pcan1, pbld, n$, sgfeed, sgplane, `sgcode, sgabsinc, pccdia, pxout, pyout, pzout, paout, feed, strcantext, scoolant, e$ #feed was *feed
  21. I have a post, not used/tested since i updated post to X5.....now it outputs feedrate in each line. How can I stop posting FR in each line?
  22. cleveland twist drill would've been nice....(1.25 od x 12 LOF x 17 oal)....sold out though. drill masters or sterling gun drill.......too long oal 19" or too short In the end we are using a shop made spade drill. Thanks for the suggestions.
