  1. Hi crazy millman! This is a homemade CNC machine. I am new in this and I am looking for software most compatible to my machine. It is Mach3 5 axis head head machine for making sculptures and souvenirs. I have generic Fanuc 5 axis head head post which is as far the best solution till now. If it is possible to modify it just to go to safety distance before aligning c axis, it would be perfect. In that case I will close my decision for buying this CADCAM software.
  2. Hi Zoffen, Since this is an old forum lost, I want to ask you did you solve your problem? I ran into same problem with my machine. C axis is rotating in material without going to some safe distance. What part of Post I need to modify? I am not familiar with variables or any kind of post processor modification. Thanks for your help!
  3. Hi everyone! I have a B, C axis limit problem on head head 5 axis Mach3 router. In milling 5 axis fine surface with flat end mill, when it goes to upper limit in C axis, it just stops in material and start spinning head for 180 degree. That spinning is fine, but in some safe distance, not in material. It is making a big circle on surface which must be perfect clean. Worst thing is that rotation isn't in simulation, so I don't know exact points where it will be spinning around. Is there any solution to make a command inside operation to go to safe distance before start aligning it's axis? Thanks for your help!
  4. Hi everyone! I am new Mastercam user. I need Mastercam for 5 axis machining. I heard it is the best software in market, but I am trying to learn it all by myself, but I didn't know it is that much complicated. My first project is checking fixture for autoglass. First, I have defined machine I will be use (5 axis router machine), than created tool (12mm dia flat end mill with 2 flutes) and defined feed and spindle speed. Now, my first operation must be 'parallel' to clear top surface, which is pretty much rounded in all directions. When I set my surface as drive surface, my tool always goes 180 degree on other side and machining inner (opposite) side of surface. I don't know why. I tryed everything to change that (reverse direction, unselect some check curves, etc.) Is there any tutorial similar to my problem? I seen all your guys works in this forum, and I am impressed with such knowledge and experience all you have. Thanks for your help! Right.3dm
