I have quite a bit. a little less so, now on that I am using 2024. Only workaround I have found is to reboot Mastercam and regenerate after reloading. Rarely I will have to delete the stock model operation to get it to stop.

I know exactly how you feel. Would be Nice. I just usually leave the force tool change off, then do a 'Manual Entry' as code before hand and manually program my stop and tool change from a template I have made up, were all I do is change the tool info on. Sucks but at least it works

So I made a Custom Ribbon (general items use the most) as I am sure most have. This is what it looks like. However when I reload a new instance of MC it appears as follows: A little annoying, but all I do then is Right click the ribbon, then "Customize the Ribbon" then changing nothing I click "Ok", My custom ribbon then returns to the top version (the way I want it) I do not have those view managers added to my custom ribbon. Yet a new instance re-adds them every time. So is this a possible bug, or my settings, or my brain? (Am I dumb ) This is ver 2023 update 4

Alternately can use the settings button in the Auto Cursor bar.

Depending on what your doing maybe a little more VRM? Other then that looks good, I'd personally go with a tower as they last longer and usually cheaper to build, I'm so done with laptops (I understand not everyone can)

We were talking about a feature in "Toolpath Transform"

You might try the "Create new operations and geometry" button then. Will be a fast Copy and Past then you will have more control over the program names.

When I first get up my brain cells stay behind for a few hours so they were not around to die.

I do not know much about nesting. (I still have a lot of MC to learn yet, was only trained to get jobs done the rest is on me to learn ) But. I have a Machine that doesn't like tool changes so when I post, it has to be a separate program for each tool. I am able to Toolpath Transform with a different program and Toolpath Transform is pretty powerful at translating and moving NC or Geometry. I hope this helps.

Update: Got it Fixed! Thanks for everyone's help! What I had to do was the inventor viewer from the below link, AND, I had to do the following steps at this link. https://resources.imaginit.com/support-blog/install-inventor-read-only-mode-using-custom-install With both of them on and running. no more issues. I wanted to wait until the 30 day free trial was up before I said it was good to go. Thank you again for you time and tips guys, hop this helps someone in the future.

Yes, that is the only way I can access them now. I really do not want to move them though, they are all placed for ease of access and speed of mouse maneuvering. It was not always like this until today.

I am sorry for asking something this silly but its driving me crazy. I'm running 2023 update 4. I have my Toolpath manager in a floating spot and a lot of my parameters and other functions pop up over this location. but if I move my pointer to select something on the parameters the Toolpath manager pops up to the top and blocks the current open menu and I am unable to do anything because it keeps swapping between the two like a kid that gets candy for mashing alt-tab each press. This just happened to me today after opening a old X8 program to update. The only way I can access these menus now is to turn Toolpath manager off. What did I break?

I think it has something to do with how our engineers export the IPT file. I've noted that they have sometimes they sent me the same model in different ways all IPT and MC finally loaded one version. I wont lie I know nothing about inventor. its on my PC but "needs updated" and "missing verification codes". Maybe that's the problem? You Replied right as I was typing my reply. Thanks for the info. Edit: Still a No Go on my end even with the viewer you linked. I'll try getting my base Autodesk inventor activated and see if that works.

Update 3 still seems to have an issue with Inventor 23 files, stuck in perpetual loading. Is your software directly MasterCam? We use Veriserf for several features, I had their version of MasterCam installed, so it wouldn't update MasterCam at all, uninstalled then reinstalled MasterCam and made SURE that I only grabbed the add-on of veriserf ONLY then most problems went away.

I can confirm this... Just recently did a VERY large gear with a 28' pitch diameter in 45° arcs on a Horizontal Boring Machine, which was much too large to put on center of our table. It would have been nice to (also easier for the guys running the part to double check things as they went along) move the tool plane to the face of the part. However I simply suck at editing posts so every tooth profile would plot right but shift my work coordinates the right distance but would still offset the actual program as if the shift wasn't there. In the end we ended up having to work everything off center of rotation for our coordinates, which ended up with us having to shift this massive gear to be on perfect center for "X". I was able to tell Mastercam where the part was sitting on "Z" as the center of the gear on that axis was off in space. Also would have been nice to Transform my tool paths to the other planes, but couldn't get that to even plot correctly. Only been programing with Mastercam for a little over a year so no clue to what I was doing wrong there. Overall still did fairly decent as no one in my shop ever attempted this before and the post had to be modified to even index to begin with. When I am all caught up I have to go back and continue to teach myself and edit the post so we can actually machine with the table, not only for indexing.

Hello all, Happy Friday! So I'm having an issue loading in my .ipt files. If I merge the file a placement menu shows up like it should with only one option not greyed out and it does nothing. if I do an "open" on it. It comes from the future...... 2022 has no issue loading these files. Currently I have to load it in 2022, save it, then open in 2023. It is also not doing this to every .ipt file, some load in just fine. I'm kinda at loss of what to do.
