  1. I would use Mic6 if possible. WOW! Just noticed the date. :s
  2. Ran a shop with automated loaders for 3 years. https://machinetoolsolutions.ca/product/clean-tec-chip-fan/ We used these on most jobs combined with a coolant flush. We ran 90% aluminum so chips would fly everywhere if not hosed down first. I don't expect them to be of any use on steel chips.
  3. This fixed my problem thank you but I still don't understand why this doesn't work. Should it not be a perfect arc? How does a tighter tolerance change that?
  4. I tried. All I get are longer or shorter G01 lines. I'll try again.
  5. How do I get this toolpath to output arcs instead of G01? Seems like a simple thing to do but I can't figure it out. Thanks. forshow.mcam
  6. I'll go for 3/8 before 1/2 when dynamic milling unless I need the flute length.
  7. This appeared at the top of my feed. Never checked the date. Felt good to see some off topic again so I just jumped in.
  8. It sounds like you know exactly what I'm saying. I'll give that a shot.
  9. From what I see the toolpaths you are suggesting are designed for a ball nose endmill. I'm hoping to generate a toolpath with the side of a flat endmill by simply indexing the "A" axis.
  10. I would like to "surface" the radius in red but I want to use climb milling with the side of the endmill and some kind of "A" axis substitution. Is there an operation that would allow me to do that? The radius is not centered on the "A" axis and would require "Y" to shift accordingly with every pass.
  11. I started a new job with minimal 3d experience. I admitted this during the interview. I told them I could look at programs of similar jobs previously done and that's exactly what I did. That and frequent visits to this forum.
  12. I would just like to thank everyone that have made this possible. I could never have earned this badge without you. :)
  13. Moving to where? Or removing?
  14. The window that contains my Operations, Levels and Solids has become useless. It is frozen and won't allow me to do anything. I've tried restarting Mastercam and even restarting the computer. Any suggestions?
  15. It seems as though despite the warnings the changes do get applied.
  16. Interesting. I'll try that. Thanks
  17. I can't seem to make any changes to my Operation Defaults. When I try to do this in Control Definition I get a message telling me this must be done in Machine Definition. When I go to Machine Definition that option gone. What am I missing this time?
  18. My post also fails to output a G41 if my initial move is an arc rather than a line.
