  1. try chaining it partial, then selecting the end here option.
  2. Personal preference. Some will "customize" a post and rename it such as, "Okuma P1". This way they will always have the original to fall back on under its original name.
  3. If you go to file , then converters , there is a list of files it will read.
  4. I don't know about going from 7 to 9 , but when I changed over to X from 9 , geometry and toolpaths were brought in. If you try to open a file from X in 9 , only the geometry is available. No toolpaths are brought with it. Does it give you a prompt of any kind when you try to open it?
  5. Hangstafers +1000 I used to machine this stuff along with Hastelloy in high pressure valves. Slow RPM and a higher feed rate trying to keep the endmill under the chip as much as possible.
  6. forgot to tell you to use a custom cycle for this. you can set them just about anyway you want.
  7. use the chipbreaker cycle .5 peck w/ .5 dwell and 0 value on the retract.
  8. Have you tried ALT E select chain and then see if it will contour it ?
  9. is it possible to rough the pocket with a larger endmill first ?
  10. Have you taken the tools out and checked them manually on a tool height measuring gauge?
  11. Have you looked at Giddings and Lewis? I ran a couple in the 90's that had tombstones and multi pallet systems.
  12. I work with Jeff and our post is for a Haas VF-5.
  13. Just remember Jeff, it'll be alright. "Bout got it?"
  14. I work with Jeff at YAT and what we are wanting is more controlat the machine. Yes the Haas has macros , but for a deep hole cycle, creating the program by looping can be a long process. Is there any way to "modify" the existing macros?
  15. Has anyone got information on the "how too's" of writing macro programs? Any and all help would be appreciated.
