  1. Okay.. I have found a solution to this issue. I think. It now works anyway. I still had a copy of the X5 32 bit version on my computer. So I decided to try and copy it to my X6\Common\Editors\ folder. I copied the entire X5 mastercam editors folder to X6 and it now works even though its a 32 bit version
  2. I running windows 8 and cannot get the Mastercam editor to work. Can anybody help me with this? It will not run by accessing it in Mastercam or by going to the common folder and clicking on the executable. Thanks.
  3. Hoping for some help. I placed a file call Don_K_T3652_Solid Model.mcx-6 out on the ftp site in the Mastercam forum\X6_Files directory. So far I have created the solid body for the stationary vise jaw but I cant figure out how to create the solid model for the socket in the center of the jaw what will serve as part holding. I have tried to revolve the solid about the vertical line in the center of the jaw but this will not work I think because the larger arcs are greater than 180 degrees. I originally thought all I would have to do is link up the arcs, then chain that profile and revolve it about the vertical line in the midpoint of jaw. Any suggestions? ftp://mastercam-cadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/X6_FIles/
  4. I did find a Haas VMC machine model. But it looks smaller than our VM3 and VF3.
  5. Thanks for info. I did download this.. looks great. I need the HRT-160 H, TR160H and TR160-2H trunnions.
  6. How do you obtain a username and password for the FTP site? My forum credentials do not work.
  7. Jay, I see that you instruct. I am currently training with Caminstructor online. I cant seem to get help from them. Would you be willing to take a look at a file that I am currently working on for our Enshu JE60S Horizontal? We are trying to machine 4 parts on each face and when I try to sub program one part over on one face to make the other 3 parts our post processor isnt posting the workpiece offset designations. We use extended offsets in the machine that require G154 PXXX to be posted. I am wondering at this point if I am doing something wrong. I am hoping for some help. My email is: [email protected] I can send you the phone number if you need it by email.
  8. Thanks Jay. How do I get to your ftp site?
  9. This is what they told us at IMTS in Chicago too. Actually both Mastercam and Haas gave us the runaround. Carlos, the gentleman giving the demo in the Mastercam booth on Machine Simulation had an .stl file for just about every CNC machine available. He was busy giving the demo so we grabbed somebody else in the booth who told us we could get them from Haas because thats where they got them from. So back to the Haas booth we went. They told us that they did not have the full 3D models yet but our Haas sales rep told us that Mastercam probably used .dxf files to create their own. Now I am being told that they dont even have those. So I contacted our reseller here in Michigan to ask Carlos we could get copies of those .stl files. We shall see I guess. Makes me wonder how they even built the machines in the first place if they were not designed in cad. ;o) I know they have them. Pretty archaeic way of engineering and designing a cnc machine if you ask me.
  10. Okay... When I visited the Mastercam booth at IMTS in Chicago last week I saw .stl files that can be used for Machine Simulation. So far I have received the runaround from both Mastercam and Haas about getting my hands on the .stl files for the Haas VF3 and the tr160 and tr160-2 trunnions. I saw .stl files for all of these on the computer during the demo at the show. Does anyone out here have copies of these that you could share? Thanks.
  11. Can anybody out here recommend a good system on which to run Mastercam? I am currently running a $499.00 dell special of which I cannot recall the model. I am posting this from home on a Dell Alienware which has no problem running Mastercam. The office computer barely meets the minimum system requirements. Also could I get recommendation on a decent video card? Thanks.
  12. Yes. This creates the additional operations that I need. I am wondering how to post out sub programs for these operations to save memory capacity in the machine control.
  13. Looking for some help on creating sub programs in Mastercam. I have a tombstone that I have programmed 4 like parts on each face of the tombstone. Is there a way to create sub programs for each tool in the operations manager and carry them over to the other faces of the tombstone? My current file has over 500 operations which will create a massive G code file as you might imagine. I am looking to reduce the size of this file. Thanks.
  14. Thanks Ron. This is definetly what we are looking for. Do you happen to know the cost per seat?
