  1. Cap your offsets BEFORE the crash using the strategy below: % O75(OFFSET CAPS EXAMPLE) IF[ABS[#2430]GE[.0005]]GO800 (MAX/MIN CAP OF .0005 FOR RAD OFFSET 30) (YOUR NC CODE HERE) (END OF NC PROGRAM) GO999 (******* ALARM ****** ) N800#3006=1(OFFSET OVER OR UNDER CAP) G0 800 N999 (NO ALARM) M30 %
  2. Another way to get your surface "flat" is to project an arbitrary point into the surface and select the points/lines option which will create a surface normal vector. You can then use the views/normal function and select the line which will put the surface flat.
  3. Change your editor to MCEDIT, then choose NC Utils, Scale Factor F25.4 and apply factor to X,Y,Z,I,J,K,R
  4. Cadcam-e announced today that its translators have been updated to support Mastercam X MR1/SP2 databases. The updated products include: MC/Cat5 - CATIA V5 to Mastercam Direct Translator MC/Ug - Unigraphics to Mastercam Direct Translator The latest software can be downloaded from http://www.cadcam-e.com/solutions.aspx?Flag=Download
  5. My reseller tells me that cadcam-e will have a fix in 10-14 days.
  6. quote: Sometimes it works and some times it dose not. When it dose not work the keep option dose not work either. I have to copy the surface before I trim it and trim it twice. The original (untrimmed) surface is blanked, not deleteed.
  7. update 1 for SP1 fixes the backplot time issue. I got this email last month; To All Mastercam X SP1 users... We have just released a patch to update Mastercam X SP1. It will only work on Mastercam X SP1 (Not on the original Mastercam X or on the MR1 Beta which already contains these fixes.) This release will fix a number of issues in SP1 and is available to all users, including those not on Maintenance. The patch is available via the update manager, which can be accessed from either Help -> Update Mastercam or from the Programs Menu -> Mastercam X -> Update Manager.
  8. Thanks for that correction gcode....Good day mate
  9. The only way to send a Bosto of that vintage to home position is to manually reset/origin the machine (there is no such GCODE), then you lose your part origin.
  10. MCX is making NCI file names difficult to control. I talked to my dealer about this issue. To change NCI file names; within the operations manager, go to the top and expand the Machine Group. Then choose properties, files, toolpath name. Change the name and save. The only way to have mutipal file names is to open a new Machine Group.....How BOGUS!
