  1. I watched a video posted June 1st on Youtube by In House Solutions entitled "Mastercam 2022 what's new" I was really excited to see that you could download Mastercam 2022 and access Mastercam HLE from the Mastercam Launcher by selecting the HLE radial button, so I downloaded 2022 as soon it was released and of course was disappointed to see this was not the case, "shocker" I have a net hasp where I work is there a way I can borrow a license at home?
  2. In previous versions of Mastercam when you changed your view from top to front and so on, your Cplane and Tplane would update in the selection bar, Mastercam 2021 does not seem to do that, when I go to a front view to rotate a part the Cplane and Tplane stay in top view, I thought there was something in configuration that you could toggle (update planes) this on an off, but I’m not finding anything. Any help would be appreciated
  3. I apologize for my frustration, I'm not a fan of some of the new changes.
  4. You are absolutely correct, I was waiting for someone to point that out, I figured that out when I first started using MC2021 and those boxes were unchecked it sent the entity to level 5 but the level on the tab that you are referring to was 6 and was unchecked. I find those changes they did in 2021 unproductive and very frustrating, Transform, rotate for example very frustrating.
  5. My offset distance is very small so its still in view and I can still see the entity but when click on the green check mark it disappears to another level that is turned off so freaken anoying
  6. When I offset a line it disappears is this a MC 2021 bug?
  7. That's excellent info thank you, this was a hurry up get it done situation not a lot of time for optimizing, I will have to see what the capabilities are on this machine tool.
  8. These are just roughing toolpaths so quality is not important as speed, but for these machines I have to go to Arc Filter/Tolerance and loosen the tolerance or the code won't fit in the control, you do make a good point that accel/decal is not up to the challenge. old machine new technology toolpaths.
  9. After confirming the run time turns out its 54 minutes not 2 hours but that is still way of the backplot time of 35 minutes, I've never seen that much discrepancy, must the age of the machine.
  10. Its a 25 year old DMG Dekel Maho DMU70 and I believe it has high speed look ahead and if it didn't I believe it would throw a alarm
  11. I did 30 tool paths using the Dynamic Mill toolpath to rough out a part and when I backplot them to get a time I get 35 minutes but the operator tells me its taking 2 hours and he says he didn't change a thing, I know the backplot times won't match machine times but I've never seen them that inaccurate, any ideas?
  12. When you go to the advanced tap on Translate and check the two attribute boxes, they stay checked, now I've got wire frame on all different levels and all different colors, maybe its a glich or maybe its not somethings are better left alone.
  13. When I open a session of Mastercam I get a warning that my maintenance expires in three days and our IT guy won't be here for a week, soooo does that mean you can't access Mastercam after three days? :(
  14. Yep, parameters selected just like previous versions!!!
  15. I'm trying to do a open pocket tool path in mastercam 2020 and instead of the tool starting at the open end of the pocket, the tool starts at the middle of the pocket, I have all the parameters selected just like previous versions put the end mill insist on starting in the middle of the pocket, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  16. I was trying to upload a jpeg to illustrate what I have going on but I get a error message stating (There was a problem processing the upload file. Please contact us for assistance.) any help with that would also be appreciated, but I will try to explain what I have going on, when I backplot a tool in the top plane it works fine but in all other planes I get a tool display that baseicly goes everywhere and when have my (display end points) is off it looks normal again, anybody got any ideas?
  17. I got it, there was a issue with my entry/exit line length sorry for the trouble guess its going to be one of those days
  18. I'm doing a threadmill tool path in Mastercam 2019 and when I post out the tool path there is no G41 I've tried different parameters, I've tried different post processors and still getting no cutter comp, I replicated the same tool path in Mastercam 2018 & 2017 and it post out with cutter comp no problem, I'm assuming this is a issue with 2019! any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  19. I just double checked which Swarf I was using, it is the application not the pattern my mistake, which one is the better tool path for my application
  20. I'm using Swarf Milling on the pattern tab.
  21. I'm doing a Swarf tool path on a .073 diameter on 10 degrees using a .014 diameter end mill and I'm getting a really bad surface finish on the side wall flat spots and gouges, I have my wall following method set to .0001 for distance and cut tolerance and the filter set to .00005 not sure what else to do I've tried different feed rates and the faster I go the better it seems to look, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
