  1. We got another rusty mold a customer had shipped back from China. The cavity was smeared in grease so it was OK. We tried the vinegar bath and here are a few pic's. A sandblaster would be quicker, but this does work. Make sure to spray the steel with WD40 afterwards to neutralize the acid of the vinegar. The pic's are the rails and back plate of the housing. The line on the rails is from the fluid line.

  2. Another Tip

     

    under config:

     

    You can set it to save your file in a second place on your computer so you can go back to an earlier save.......I have mine set to 10 I think.....you can do more..........I also clean this folder out every once in a while as it gets rather large.............I have had this save me a few of times over the years......

  3. We don't put any toolpaths on the main mold design here.

     

    Files would get to big.

     

    Everything is broken into folders.........A side basework...........B side basework...........electrodes..........slides..........A Inserts ....B Inserts...........ect.

     

    Only grab details / layers you need to program.

     

    Easy to merge something in if a change is made to the mold design.......or an error is found.........or you forget a layer that you needed......
