  1. Hamier Shrink fit holders never used (2) 4mm x 80mm with coolant slots (2) 6mm x 80 (2) 3/16" x 3.15 with coolant slots (2) 5/16" x 3.15 (1) 3/8" x 3.35 Also one Lyndex Tool Jaw fixture $350 takes it all. Please do not ask to split.
  2. Can anyone tell Me what this material might compare to? I was asked to try and find some information for cutting.
  3. ATS/AFS has some brand new, never used Haimer HSK shrink fit holders for sale. Inch sizes 2) A63.140.3/16 2) A63.140.5/16 1) A63.140.3/8 Metric sizes 2) A63.140.04 2) A63.140.06 $200.00 each Thanks for looking
  4. Have a Milltronics here about three years old. Recently a Koma rotary axis was added. Through MDI or by programming positioning can be down to .001 degrees. Problem I see here is that manual positioning can only be down to .003 degrees. Positioning cannot be done matching the screen resolution, the increments of the hand wheel are, .003, .005, .013, .025 etc. I am just wondering if anyone else sees this or is this common to Milltronics.
  5. The insert cutters will not work in some of the applications as the insert tolerance is not close enough as the tool is also used to 3d profiles of .001". In other applications the tool needs to small enough for some pockets and to fit between islands.
  6. I did do a search but must have used the wrong combination of words. Thanks for the reply.
  7. Can anyone recommend a tool mfg that offers a solid carbide end mill with wiper type geometry? i am looking to try an reduces hand polish work on floors in 4140PH material.
  8. I have done this as You say and I save the profile as an mcx-9 file. I can create the custom tool within Mastercam fine. When I save the profile as a dxf and I try to create the custom tool in the stand alone Tool Manager, as onlyy dxf files are allowed Tool Manager says "Problem with custom geometry file or data". I wonder if the dxf requires different information?
  9. The only stock being left is the corners that where the larger tool did not fit. I usually have the tolerance lose to jump the smaller gaps. Seems to me this is a bug kinda issue.
  10. I was having trouble with the opti-rest operation not adding step downs where need because of remaining material. With the help of the reseller the problem was solved. I had the chain tolerance in the config set at .002". After changing the tolerance to .0001" the needed step down were added. Attached are the two back plots.
  11. I am having chatter trouble cutting some plastic. Simple square profile 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" 2.6 LOC. Currently using a general purpose 3/4" carbide 3 flute 3" flute length. this is the material http://www.nylacast.com/dynamic_files/nylacast_pom_c_tech_sheet1.pdf Anyone have some preferred tools that work well?
  12. Can any one provide feed back, good or bad, on this product? http://hsmadvisor.com/
