  1. Travis_Buchanan, Thanks for reporting this about Productivity Plus. I use Productivity Plus with every program and had not yet made the move to 2024, but was about to update. I will stick to 2023 for now.
  2. I program three machines - two Haas (a VM2 and a VM3) and a Makino F5. I am the only programmer.
  3. When you launch the X+ setup sheet, on the right side, under "Screenshot", you can change the size of the screenshot. I have mine set at 80%, which works well for us.
  4. Delete the file "logo.png" in your X+ directory (C:\Users\Public\Documents\X+) and replace it with your own .png file, if I remember correctly.
  5. Yeah, I had thought the same thing when I upgraded to 2023, but then I found it. It is just called "Position" now, no longer called "Analyze Position".
  6. Look at the first pinned topic on the Industrial Forum page - X+ for Mastercam. Go to the last page or so to find more information. X+ is a third party add-on from Gunther Massimo. Well worth the money, for us. To download X+ go to his website https://www.gmccs.de/downloads_x+.php
  7. I use the X+ add-in setup sheet. You have to pay for it but I find it worth it. You can add all the parameters you want and it will show you. You can't edit them from the report but you can see which toolpath has the error. Has saved me many times from an errant coolant or other incorrect parameter. I had a large mold core that I programmed last week with over 100 toolpaths in it and I could see every parameter that I normally check for common errors. The report was three full pages long but it showed everything. I always run my report before I post the code so I can do a quick check.
  8. From top to bottom, this is how I set mine: .010 .005 .001 -.001 -.005 -.010
  9. Just found this topic through a search. We have been using Productivity+ for maybe five years or so. Early on I tried to use the Tool Break Detection feature in Prod+ but never got it to work. I'm using it on a Haas VM2. Last week I watched a webinar on Prod+ and saw some new info on using the Tool Breakage Detection feature, so I tried it again with what I learned from the webinar. Still didn't work. I contacted my reseller and explained the situation. Sent him a Zip2Go and my RenMF file. He worked on it a bit but could not get it to work. He forwarded it to CNC Software. They came back with a couple of suggestions but it still didn't work. It went a couple of days and my reseller told me CNC Software was still working on it. I am able to post code and run the program on my machine. I did a test where I did a simple contour then measured the tool. It ran the contour, then moved over the probe pad, came down and hit the probe pad, and then gave the alarm "Probe Open". NO JOKE - as I was typing this my reseller e-mailed me again asking if I was able to run other Prod+ toolpaths on my machine or was the Tool Breakage Detection was the only one I have tried. Told him I've been using it for years, but never got the Tool Breakage Detection to work. I guess CNC Software really is still working on it. From my Reseller: Are you able to post other Productivity + toolpaths that run on your machine is this the only one that you have tried? Thank you, XXXXX XXXXXXX Applications Expert Does anyone here have a suggestion of something I can try? I see JoshC above may have some ideas.
  10. You're welcome! Glad I could help. I use Hybrid quite a bit and that option works pretty well for me.
  11. "Preserve Z Passes" option under "3D Passes" didn't work?
  12. Yes, I have seen this too.
  13. In 2019, on the Home tab, then Display, there's a toggle for Arc Center Points.
  14. You're welcome! It bugged me for a long time too, before I found that setting.
  15. On the Model Geometry page, under Machining Geometry, uncheck Display Remainder.
  16. Never tried to send a report back to the network. I was going down that route when I started P+ (yes, having heard it was one of the features), but when I found out I could send to macro variables to be viewed on the control, I abandoned the report and do it this way.
  17. I just send the measured dims back to the control in macro variables and the operator checks it there. You can actually configure your Current Commands screen on the Haas to show some of the macro variables (we have the old control, not the next gen control, so we can only display two at a time), so if we're only using a couple of them, he doesn't even have to go to the macros screen to see the dims.
  18. On Mastercam's webpage under Support, Tutorials, there is a PDF for Prod+. I haven't checked that one out. I have the one from X8, June 2014. As far as training, ask your Reseller. I asked mine a while back and he said they had nothing prepared. I was only one of two companies in his region that was using P+. I believe he said they could come in for some on-site training, but I think it was a "We will be learning with you" kind of thing. Haven't checked with him lately.
  19. Sorry to hear about the troubles you are having. It was like that for us in the beginning. It went on for quite a while for us, maybe a couple of months. I was very frustrated and ready to throw it away. Finally we got it working and really no trouble since. There's been a few glitches here and there that I have reported to CNC Software and they got fixed. The 2018 version seems pretty good. I don't think I've had it crash at all. I've had no training so it's all been learn-as-you-go. Try this, doesn't work, try something else. We are a mold shop. We use it for setting work offsets and measuring machined features (pockets, shutoff faces, etc.). It really saves us a lot of time. My setup sheets show the operator which fixture/vise to set the plate/insert in, he puts it in and hits go. The probe measures the plate to make sure it is the right plate, then it sets the work offset. He runs the main program. Then he runs a measuring program to check dimensions, which are reported back to the machine control (let me know if you don't know how to do this!). It is worth it when you get it working. But I definitely could use some formal training.
  20. Roger, I was out Friday so I just saw your message. We are not doing any tool length probing (if you mean Broken Tool Detection) using P+ because we could not get it to work. This was at the very beginning, that we could not get it to work. Once we got the main portion of P+ working I just never went back and pursued getting that part working. Seems like it should be pretty simple though. Guess I'll start looking at it again. To answer your question I would think that you would have to have an approximate offset and not 0.0. At least that's how I would have started out, with an offset.
  21. I'm running Prod + on a Haas VM2. Been using it for two years. I remember it was a struggle at first. When we purchased it we got a RenMF file (which it looks like your have), a Control file, a Machine Def file, and a new Post file. In your first pic above, check "Run Macro File Wizard" and then hit "Process". You only have to do this one time to make sure all the macros are loaded into the control. So uncheck "Run Macro File Wizard" afterwards. Hope this helps. I'm trying to remember if there was anything else. It took us a while before we got it working. I'm leaving work in a couple of minutes and I will not be back until next Wednesday, so if you have more questions, I won't be able to help until then.
  22. I have all of my template files set to "Read Only", so I am forced to do a "Save As".
  23. Is the spacebar "repeat last command" gone?
