About Me
I have been running CNC's since 1993. I started in a wood shop, then in 1998 I got a job working for an Aerospace company making parts for GE and Pratt Whitney. An "old timer" there named Lester told me "If you want to get anywhere as a machinist work for a shop for no more than a couple years". "Learn everything you can and move on". He said doing so will let me get the best experience and allow me to figure out where I want to work, and what kind of work I wanted to do.
Over the next 7 years or so I worked in various shops machining and programming using G&M code and notepad. I have worked with machinists who are some of the best in the business. I tried to do as Lester said and learn from all of them. All that experience has landed me where I am today.
My co-worker calls me the Rotary Ninja because I love machining with the extra axis. I love my job (most days) and I am grateful they have allowed me to learn Mastercam and do my own thing. I love programming and machining complex parts and thanks to my experience there is no part I am scared to take on.
