Hi Guys, If i don't choose a tool in the toolpath operation, Mastercam has a default tool for each operation, how and where I can change that tool. I did created those tools at some stage eight -nine years ago, but could not work it out now. Regards Monty

Hi Guys, For our Bemato mills with xxxxOR controller I can create a nc code with .pim extension. If I modify the file in code expert it does not allow to save as .pim file. I can only save it as text file. It also does not have NC options like next tools, colors etc. We had similar problem with Mastercam editors in earlier versions til X6 and had to add .pim added to file extensions in control definition for it to be recognised by the editor. It is not working for X8. How can I add *.pim to the 11 file types(nc, ncf, min, mpf, iso etc) recognised by the editor in " save as type" area. I have nc file extension set to .PIM in control definition, In nc configuration file extension is also set to .pim; Also why is my control name replaced by xxxx automatically. Regards,

Hi Guys, Do I need to install MU1 before I can install MU2 or can go straight from X6. Also any issues with MU2, should I stay with X6 or stop ay MU1. Regards, Monty

Hi Guys, Whenever I try to edit machine defination in X3 I get a message, (System configeration, Switching system units from metric to English, Loading english configration file.) As far as I could remember I used to get this massage in X, and was fixed when I loaded SP1, Any suggestions. Kindest Regards
