  1. I figured out a solution if anyone cares: Open your library in MasterCam (not tool manager), select all tools, right click and "Save Tool(s) to Library". When saving specify your_library_name.tools-9. Saving it to a tools-9 file stips tool holders out of the equation I guess. Then click on the right icon on top "Select File for Tool Import". The imported library will have all the tools in the "Cutting Tools" location when you load that new library into the Tool Manager.
  2. Just recently upgraded from MX6 to MX9 and trying to get my head around the tool manager. When I converted our tool libraries (we have 800+ tools across 14 mcam tool libraries), all of the tools are now defaulted to assemblies with a generic tool holder. How do I get the tools out of the "Tool Assemblies" and into "Cutting Tools" so that I can actually begin making assemblies with our created tool holders? Searched through the forums and couldn't find an answer for this, my appologies if it's an dumb question. Thanks in advance!
  3. Is there any way to go back to not through-putting the new holder info? We were using that to pass simple text from the tool definition to our tool lists. Thanks!
