I have been out of circulation for a few years, so forgive me if I seem to be lacking a clue. I downloaded Mastercam 2017 yesterday, and it seemed to be going fine but when I tried to open it it said "maintenance expired, you need to download Mastercam.Dll". But the key I'm using is current. Has anyone run into this issue? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to get the router post to work on a Prototrak. My problem is that I cannot get it to produce long code for peck drilling. The Prototrak does not support G18/G19. I can get long code on the verticals by unchecking peck drill in the Control def, but not on the Router post. Thanks!

We use emuge on tantalum. OSG gold drills. I would not use carbide.

Be very careful if you have any tapping. I always end up threadmilling everything.

You can also use the PrmDef chook, download from the MC website. It toggles between the previous op and the default. -

I can move it by grabbing it from the bottom. Strange.

About the helix entry- on the transitions page, you have Z clearance at .003. Increase this to .03 or so and you will see a helix entry from above the stock. You might want to increase the plunge angle as well. -

Sorry, it's actually a Pro-E file. Not particularly large, only about 6 megs. It opens in X7 without the warning, but still no solid. Thanks guys! Pete, I will send it to you after lunch.

Most likely Solidworks. It came from a customer.

Thanks John. What is a "boundary point"? Screen Stats show no points, only lines, arcs, and splines. And why won't it give me a solid? Never happened before.
