  1. Thanks guys, I would have never found that.
  2. I'm using 2018, you have the ability to do it if you use the application tool path but I read that those are the legacy tool paths version.
  3. I have a small square part with 30 degree walls and .04 corner rads. I did a swarf tool path with "PATTERN" not "APPLICATION" but I can't find any where in the parameters to extend the tool past the bottom rail any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Oh I always use wear, this control still throws a alarm.
  5. Yep that's what I do also, I could use a perpendicular entry and exit, but you know I feel about those, I guess I will have to draw my own geometry!
  6. Yep that's what I thought, I'm doing some programming for some old DMG Maho's with Heidenhain control and they throw a alarm if the radius is smaller than the tool radius on the lead in, lead out, my co-worker who does most of the programming for these machine's uses UG and is making fun of Mastercam
  7. Is there a way to lead in and lead out on angle without using a radius?
  8. Yep, that's what I did but it sticks feed rate of 25. on the next page very frustrating
  9. Having a problem editing a tool (tap) in X9 as far as speeds and feed, I need IPR not IPM example: M8 x 1.25 I need a feed rate of F.0492 (IPR) and a arbitrary spindle speed (500) in X6 you could enter a value any where with out effecting another value very friendly X9 you have TPI, SFM, FPT, Feed Rate, Spindle Speed then you have this icon that if click on it changes your speeds and feeds to some wacked out numbers very unfriendly any help would be appreciated.
  10. Here's another one, when I back plot sometimes I like go into options step mode, interpolate and the step increment stays grayed out, I have to close out of options and reopen it to enable the step increment?
  11. Overall it's working fine for me also, I really like the enhancement's, when the IT department loads it on my machine I tweak some things mostly the tool bar's. I was working with wire frame, lines and arcs, I always preserve my original model so I x-form translate copy entities to different levels to work with for tool paths and for some reason it will take a random line and blank it, it's happened three times, I tried to replicate the problem but I couldn't get it to do it, but I couldn't spend a lot of time on it.
  12. I've been using Mastercam for 25 years so I've seen my share of new releases so I'm not a newbe and there's always issues, my post was not intended to be a rant but to bring to light some issues that maybe CNC software was not aware of (after reading some of the post I'm not the only one having problems). I imported a solid model saved it to my local drive then checked for hidden enities which normally I don't do and everything was fine, after working with the file for awhile I checked for hidden enities again and THERE THE ARE and this has happened several times so to me that's a problem. I never use the blank / unblank feature so I guess the software is going to make me use it weather I want to or not
  13. I just started using X9, previously I was using X6, because X7 and X8 were unstable and very glitchy Here’s some problems I’ve had so far: Wire frame entities that were blanked when I did not blank them! The plane manager lots of issues Verify very slow and glitchy I guess it’s back to X6
  14. Thank you John, I dint even think of that, I thought that level was clean, I never use blank, unblank so I don’t know how that happen, I also tried new geometry on about 5 other levels and getting the same thing you have excellent trouble shooting skills. Thanks Again
  15. Thanks for your help, it's like I said I can get it to work if I make the shank diameter .315 diameter and let the pilot be what ever?
