  1. yeah dont use the rotary options... like previously stated set your WCS to the plane the holes reside on... Done
  2. use the side of my endmill versus the bottom of it
  3. Hey... Obviously a newbie here... Quick question... How can I tell mastercam x9 to side mill? Thanks in advance
  4. Right now it's all one body, I need to i guess separate faces and such for my toolpath. currently when I select something the whole damn model highlights unless I'm chaining... Go easy I'm a noob...
  5. I did too... but it costs $55.00
  6. I appreciate it... I guess I'll just break down and pay the $55.00 for it. Didn't want to come across as a thief, or anything like that, I was just trying to get the .pdf so I could further my education in this software. I appreciate the help though!
  7. Sorry about that... wasn't looking @ it as "I was stealing" I just was asking for a copy... like hey man, can I borrow that cd, or hey man can get a ride home, etc. Wasn't trying to steal anything, if that was a case, would I be asking in the mastercam forums, or would I be searching torrent sites, and such?
  8. I did not want your original copy, but a copy of a copy..
  9. I was wondering if anyone had the Mastercam X5 Beginner Training Tutorial (PDF)? i know it cost like 60 dollars, but I'm broke and trying to teach myself Mastercam X5, Any help will be appreciated!
  10. thanks guys... after I drew the tool path and created it... it did excatly what it was supposed to do! I finished the vacuum fixture, now (remember I'm a CMM programmer)they want me to start on different parts. So now I can make the part and check it... lol (conflict of interest there) anyways once again, thanks alot for the timely response and help!
  11. all I need to do is take a .2188 endmill and make a slot around the fixture, then take a smaller ballnose and put some .03 deep grooves in it (for the vacuum) i attached what the previous programmer had programmed for your viewing pleasure it's fix pos 1
  12. Hey guys... our CNC programmer quit, I kinda of got thrown into this, I am going to get some training but I need help right now if possible. I am trying to make a vacuum fixture from an exisiting program. I just need to add a .2188 (7/32) flat bottom end mill and create some tool path. Can someone start me in the right direction? I was referred to this forum from a friend on here. here are my specs mastercam x5 machine: 5 axis viper but what i need to do is all three axis and from what I read this shouldn't take as long as it is with me. (lol) I appreciate any help and will send any information as requested.... thanks!
