The rolldie.doc list as follow:
C-Hook Name: rolldie.dll/.txt
Date: June 18, 1998
Programmer: CNC Software, Inc.
Description:
The roll die c-hook creates toolpaths around a rotary axis. The toolpath can
be rounded or squared on outside sharp corners. When a tapered tool is used,
the tool can run up and down the crease formed at the intersection of two
walls at an inside sharp corner. Inside sharp corners with non-tapered tools
are not handled and will eventually give an error.
The chained entities selected to create the toolpath can be in the flat or
already rolled. The resultant toolpath is normally 5-axis tool vectors around
a rotary axis but provision has been made to produce a 3-axis toolpath from
flat input in the case where a tapered tool is used.

In fact, I use tapered tool for contour toolpath. But tool have to run up/down in inside sharp corner for clean corner.
Hi!
I used rolldie function to create toolpath
for die. In rolldie.doc, it list "When a tapered
tool is used, the tool can run up and down the crease formed at hte intersection of two walls at an inside sharp corner". But I use tapered tool, the tool can't run up and down in inside corner. Even the tool overcut in inside corner.
I am use V9.1 mr0105
Any suggestions gratefully accepted
The XYZ value output format is controled by
Format statements:"fs2 2 0.4 0.3" in mpfan.pst of V8
You just change to "fs2 2 0.45 0.35".The last-variable rounding will output that you want.
In close contour, which want to finished inside of close contour, I often use finish toolpaht of pocket(check off "rough" and check on "finish" on roughing/finishing prarmeter page) instead of contour toolpath. This method dosn't need to decide the tool offset way. Becuase this reason, I hope the finish toolpahts of pocket can keep tool down when leadin/out.
First copy the drill operation and paste to get same one operation in operations manager. Then move mouse to "Geometry" icon of second operation, holddown the left button of mouse. Move the geometry icon to first operation. Will display a menu after release button, please select "Replace",system display a message "Coping toolpath geometry to another operation...".Please choose "No". The geometry icon of first operation will become to zoro poin. all selected points will be erase.
