  1. Thanks gcode!!! I'm trying to rotate and select a chain at the same time but having no luck... I thought you could do this but not sure? Is there a setting or something for this? I just bought this spacemouse so THANKS for the tip on the center of rotation.
  2. Can you change the z height in the 2d swept wireframe across contour geometry rather than z height in machine?
  3. I don't have a tool crib guy. I don't think the new assembly will work with a simple flowline toolpath? I only have about 10 different toolholder styles that I use regularly. I guess I was thinking for years why there is only one default holder file and you have to copy over to get it to work on every toolpath. For a small 1 man shop like mine it would be nice if you could have 10 default holders and you could just link them to your tools and have them work for every toolpath. I can visually see in backplot or verify if the tool is going to rub. Yes I can create a holder but it does not work for flowline or many toolpaths?. I'm sure I'm doing many things wrong but I am a small shop and have to do everything myself so I have not had enough time to learn the new tool crib program. If there is a simple way to link tools to holders and have them work on every toolpath please let me know...
  4. I think it would be great if you could build your assembely inside mastercam and have it work on every type of toolpath. Now its too much wasted time and so I just ignore and cross my fingers the holders don't rub. I load holders in for high speed operations but then have to choose again next time. I tried the new toolmanger but then I got annoyed. I see why verify needs a seperate program and I like the new version. I just don't see why its not easier to make holders in mastercam. I don't even care if they gouge check as long as I can visually see the correct holder in verify. I was hoping it would become easier but seems like its getting more complicated.
  5. Yes, but then I have to select them to make them different colors first...
  6. I don't know if this has been already been covered but if you change settings from 3 axis to 5 axis mode you get better quality in verify. Looks like accurate zoom without the zoom. Little slower but I prefer better quality.
  7. Amazon http://www.amazon.com/3Dconnexion-3DX-700040-SpaceMouse-Pro-Mouse/dp/B006H2RP12/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372117341&sr=8-1&keywords=spacemouse+pro
  8. When creating toolpaths can I select only the surfaces I can see when fully shaded using window mode? I don't want to pick up the surfaces on the back or in the middle. I know that I can put the surfaces on different levels and also hide the surfaces but I would prefer to choose only the surfaces as seen on screen and ignore the surfaces I can't see when fully shaded. 9. cost 280... spacemouse pro... there is a more expensive one but it looks like more than I need.
  10. Here is how mine looks now ... I will change it when I get some money to buy a spacemouse...
  11. When I rotate a toolpath and then run through verify the tapered part of the shank/shoulder does not show correctly? X7sp1
  12. We make injection molds and need good surface finish. The arc filter keeps changing and I was hoping to see how others are setting their filter parameters for the best finish. Also does the smoothing setting do anything if none of the boxes are checked? Here is how I am setting mine. We are getting good finish now but I thought I would see if someone had suggestions or could explain how to set the smoothing settings.
  13. Could this be a dog leg rapid move below Z zero? On some machines a dog leg rapid shows up as a strait line move in verify. I had this problem with verify because my machine moves in dog leg rapid. Everything looks good but your machine does not rapid as shown in verify.
