  1. I'm not arguing or complaining about their position. Clearly you've missed the point.
  2. I'm not talking about paid for posts.
  3. A few job changes ago, I mentioned here that I was running a new machine and wanted to customize a post. I asked what a good out of the box post to start with was for that particular machine. Three or four people emailed me their post. But if you come here to the forum and ask for a post, you'll get pointed to the forum rules rather quickly. I think you'd be amazed at what is shared behind closed doors among contributing members in good standing. Just sayin. If i had it, I'd give it to you.

    Happy 20 Year Anniversary eMastercam.com

I haven't heard of any crashes, just that it won't find all the arcs of the given size until you combine views. Or maybe I heard about them and forgot.

    Happy 20 Year Anniversary eMastercam.com

May 2002 for me. 18 years! Mask on arc wouldn't work until BernieT (where are you Bernie?!?) told me I had to Combine Views first. Thank you InHouse for all that you do! Thank you to everyone here who I learn from every day. You're the best!!!

    Old Ramsaver new Repair File.

I never work on files even remotely close to that size, but it's good info to know. Thanks for sharing Ron.
  7. You can import toolpaths directly from another MC file. No need to export, then import.

Making 2018 the default open application

    That's because it sucks.

    End Mill Question

Would you really want to run a HSS end mill at 40,000 RPM?

    Standalone Tool Manager

I guess you could take that a few different ways.

You mean Surface Contour toolpath, gcode?

    Fixture design. Not MC related

Perhaps it could've been me not paying attention in the past, but I think you've recently (last few months?) become a more active member of the forum, both here and OT. I've been using MC since 2002 and that was WAY before we even had an OT forum at eMC...but I always read your posts at eMC with interest. I appreciate and enjoy your forum contributions. Different users have different workflows with MC. There's something that we can all learn from each other regardless of how much seat time we've had.
  13. Yeah! See, there's all of these EXTRA things you can do to make it act like it used to.
  14. The MC Handbooks by Charles Davis are outstanding!
  15. Thanks! Very interesting indeed.
  16. Would you possibly be able to create a version of this file that can be opened in MC2018 or lower?
  17. So it looks like the answer is that they don't come into MC as different types. They're splines. Thanks to all who participated in troubleshooting.
  18. @#Rekd™ and @5th Axis CGI, can you guys confirm this with a screen shot of analyze?
  19. Interesting. If they are splines, do you have an explanation for why different versions of MC bring them in as splines and others bring in arcs?
  20. The holes come in as splines in MC X9.
  21. It's 2019. There's absolutely no excuse for them not sending you one in the first place.
  22. Have the customer send you a solid. Done. Here are my tolerances for creating lines/arcs from splines. They haven't failed me in the 15 years I've been using them.
  23. It sounds like your reseller doesn't know what he's talking about.
  24. It's been over 10 years since I ran Fadals, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. We ran them in Format 1 as well. I recall the tool lengths in the offset page being the distance from the home position to Z0, so it was always a negative number, something like -8 to -12 inches, or so. It was never a positive value. When we picked up our zero, we used the SETX and SETY commands. We never SETZ. I also recall using G43.
