  1. I would like to add that this is being done conventionally in 3 axis using fixturing for the latter operations. AHarrison1 just seen your reply Thanks
  2. I have a multi step part that I had done in 2020 and brought the part into 2021 when I ran Verify on it I received this message All my planes are set correctly and it verified with no problems in 2020. Can anyone advise me what might be causing this. When I run simulator I am getting gouges in the part where it is moving from one plane to the next
  3. We have been using 2017 for a few weeks and one problem I am running into is in the past with other versions when I set up parameters on cutting a job say when I say used a pocket routine if I came back to that and started a new pocket routine all my settings would be from where I left off. With 2017 it goes back to the modal that is set up in initially. So I lose my depth cuts passes etc. Is there some where in the configuration to change this.
  4. We are currently are using Master Cam 8 for our Programming but we have many files that were saved in different versions of MC. When bringing in .mc9 files that are utilizing WCS they are coming in corrupted. The GEO is in different views and planes. When we open with MasterCam 6 or 7 and then save the files to that version the files come in fine. Is there a setting that we can use to bring in the older .mc9 files to MasterCam 8 so we don't have an issue or do we have to step forward one Version at a time
  5. When programming in X6 or X7 I can assign a specific tool holder to my cutting tool or even have the option to make one. But only if I am in a contour or pocketing routine 2-D machining. When I am surfacing something I don’t even have the option of bringing up a holder. Is this something that has to be turned on when you configure MasterCam
  6. I have been programming on Mastercam since 1994 and have done all my fixtures and construction GEO using Mastecam. Our Company is thinking of bringing in a software called Space Claim to reduce the time we are constructing on the computer. I have to admit that the presentation was impresive has anyone out there used it and is it fully compatable with Mastercam.
  7. We have just started using X4 and in bringing in some of our old files be it X2 or Mill9 we are having a problem when we verify with a Radius mill it shows it as a straight mill with the Dia being that of the bottom of the tool thus not showing the Rad produced on the part.Is this a glitch from the software or is it somthing we can take care on our end any help would be appreciated
