  1. It is the same logic as using a spring pass with zero spacing when pocketing. The pocketing will produce comp every time. I can work around this, but I wanted to bring it out so it could get fixed, if, in fact it is a software error. I will notify my dealer. Thanks everyone for looking.
  2. Here is the very simplified program, thanks for looking. T.Z2G
  3. That will work, but if you add 2 passes, the 2nd pass will not have comp
  4. In many cases, we ramp cut right to size with cutter comp. No need for a pilot hole either. If we want to add a finish pass, we just turn it on. That's just been our preference for many years now.
  5. I have an issue with cutter comp not activating on finish passes. Can someone verify? 1) Create a circle 2) Create a contour with wear comp and contour type = ramp 3) Use a depth in "Ramp Motion" 4) Check the box "Make pass at final depth" 5) Enter a 90 degree lead in and out. Do not use arc. 6) Turn on muti passes and use 1 rough pass. 7) For finishing use 2 passes with zero spacing 8) Check the "Final Depth" radio button 9) Enter a depth 10) Post it out and look for cutter comp on final passes. It will not post out finish pass cutter comp on any of our posts when using X5 or X7. Note: This is very buggy and will work with certain instances. Sometimes it will give comp on the 1st finish pass, but not the 2nd. Try comping in from exact center of circle vs moving the lead in a little. Also, try multiple finish passes vs 1 finish pass. Try a few scenarios and check the output. I would appreciate any feedback to see if it's Mastercam or "PEBCAK" (Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard)
  6. We have been dealing with the mismatched H & D numbers for a long time now. Currently using X5. Your alarms in your post which shout when H&D don't match T would be helpful. Would you mind sharing an example of how you do that? OH, NEVER MIND...GOT IT. I MUST HAVE JUMPED IN TOWARD THE END OF THE POSTS.
  7. Dia and Length offset numbers not updating. This happens with new programs and when pulling from X2. It does not seem to happen when pulling from version 9. It is an intermittent problem as it only happens when you're least expecting it. (Our machine configuration is set-up to add zero to the tool number, which has always worked in previous versions). Sometimes, Mastercam will show the Dia and Length offset numbers as zero, but it will post the correct number, but sometimes it will not. Very strange and inconsistent problem.
  8. I am experiencing the same problem. If I change work offset numbers in the WCS view manager, it will appear to update the toolpath segments in the operations manager (Example: Parameters - Work offset #5), but if you click on the segment parameters, then click Planes(WCS) you will see that the offset number in the Work offset box has not updated. If you click on the view selection and click the green check, it updates. Simply regenerating all segments will not work! You have to perform this step to every segment. This may be isolated to programs that were brought in from a previous version. I have not experienced it with a fresh MCX-5 program, although I have not tried to change offsets in a MCX-5 original program.
