I have the same issue with 2024 using the same colour background as @Jake L. I don't really use flowline a lot in teaching my students but just this week I was showing how to cut a radius at the top of a pocket and it happened several times.

Got an answer back from IHS already, seems there is no explanation for this right now, it is being past on to QC. The problem is not there in M/C 2025.
Hello all, I just ran into a problem I have never seen before. One of my students has created a program and in one of the operations M/C does not post a optional stop going from op. 4 to op. 5. I have tried everything I know how to do, (even making sure force tool change is check marked) . I changed some of the values to make sure M/C regenerates the toolpaths. The attached file is created with an educational license 2024 update 3. Any help or explanation would be appreciated.
The toolpaths may not be the best choices but I wanted to leave the file as original as possible.

Sorry, I too do not have 2020 installed anymore, in 2022 & 2023 it cancels the the merge and deletes the solid. Try dragging the new file in holding the CRTL key.
Try chamfer drilling, just have to specify incremental depth of chamfer, unfortunately because you want FHCS you will have to make operations for each different size hole.
I made these edits in the MP Master post a long time ago:
### pbld, *n$, *t$, "M06", ptoolcomm, e$ ###original line split for T01 before M06 (need both sets of line edits)
pbld, *n$, *t$, ptoolcomm, e$ ###new line
pbld, *n$, "M06", e$ ###new line
]
### else, pbld, n$, *t$, "M06", ptoolcomm, e$ ###original line split for T01 before M06
else, pbld, n$, *t$, ptoolcomm, e$ ###new line
pbld, n$, "M06", e$ ###new line
This is found in the "Start of file and toolchange setup" section, I always comment out a line with 3# (###) so I know it's my edits.
Is the hole a thru hole or does it end at the bottom surface? If it is a thru hole M/C is making the rad following the depth of the hole. A sample file would help.
Thanks Dylan, I did not realize that. I don't use the apply button because with much earlier versions of M/C clicking the apply button caused the software to crash...now I know.
On another note, as I played with the settings in the sample file I realized I really miss the "refresh toolpath" button in M/C 2023.
Bring back the refresh!!!
I have never noticed this toolpath before, this is the best! I see it does not do the G81 which would make the code a bit longer but a pretty good trade off.
I have been hearing about this one drive issue for some time now, but knock on wood I have not had this problem yet. I have used one drive for years now. the only thing I might say is that make sure you use the option of storing files instead of shortcuts in one drive.
M/C remembers all settings made in the previous toolpaths in the same file...even comp type. I don't know if there is a setting in config that will force M/C to reset all settings
Thanks for the feedback everyone, some of the suggestions were indeed "nerding out" but that's OK. I feel that sometimes the "white tower" does things just because they can. Adding things is most of the times OK but keep the ability to turn it off or change it.
Sorry to ask but what is the email for QC?
Been using MasterCAM for 10yrs+ so I'm kind of used to doing things a certain way. The new chaining selection method option is kind of annoying, it remembers the last used option. If I use partial for my chaining then need full chain later I have to change the option, usually just have to change the option if I do anything other than full chain. Is there a way to turn this option off so it stays on chain all the time?
